Donné par le ministère des Sports, le statut officiel de sportif de haut niveau (SHN) peut générer des avantages aux personnes inscrites, notamment des accès à des centres d’entraînement, des horaires d’études ou de travail aménagés ainsi que des subventions pour participer à des stages nationaux. Cette liste comprend quatre catégories : Élite, Senior, Relève et Reconversion.
