Afrobeat star and Egypt 80 leader, Seun Kuti, has made appearance in the music video of the new single by the avant-garde collective C’mon Tigre titled, The Botanist, mesmerising symphony and the second single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Habitat, which is due for release on November 24 via Intersuoni.

At the heart of Habitat, which draws inspiration from the concept of an ecosystem, lies a notable collaboration with the prodigious son of the legendary afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti. The partnership adds a layer of cultural richness and rhythmic complexity to the album, setting the stage for an immersive musical experience.

Speaking about the single and music video, C’mon Tigre said, “every seed planted in your mind blossoms, yielding experiences, emotions, and beauty. The Botanist is a collaborative garden of creativity, featuring the talents of Seun Kuti and the visionary animation of Jules Guerin.

Directed by Jules Guerin, the music video which was released on Wednesday, premiered on OkayAfrica, an online platform. It emerges as a flourishing forest of creativity, seamlessly intertwining the musical prowess of Seun Kuti with the animation skills of Jules Guerin.
