The death of Mary « Darlene » Dedam of Esgenoopetitj, NB, occurred on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the age of 61. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late John Noel Dedam Sr. and Lillian (Augustine) Dedam.
Darlene is survived by children: Chrissy Lee Ann Dedam (Gaetan Mallais); Steven Lee Dedam all of Esgenoopetitj, NB; grandchildren: Garret Lee Mallais Dedam, Colby Kay Dedam and Dustin Ferguson; great grandchild: Brennan Lee Dedam; godchildren: Katelyn Julie Paul and Robert John Dedam « RJ »; sisters: Isabel Dedam of Neguac, NB; Tina Dedam of Esgenoopetitj, NB; Janice Mallais (Yvon) of Tabusintac, NB; Margaret Dedam (Ivan); Carol Dedam; brothers: Edward Dedam (Ruby Marie); Wilbert (Irene), John Noel Dedam Jr. (Annabella) all of Esgenoopetitj, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Darlene is predeceased by: sister: Mary Paul; brothers: Robert Augustine, Alfred Dedam, David Dedam, Michael Dedam, Joseph Dedam and three infant siblings.
The family will receive visitors at the home of her brother and sister-in-law: Wilbert and Irene, 909 Mic Mac Road, Esgenoopetitj, NB on Thursday after 2 PM and again on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Esgenoopetitj, NB on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1 PM with Father Godwin Kalu officiating.
